Housing Choice Voucher Program
Voucher applications are open monthly for 24-hours on the second Tuesday of each month from 12:00 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. Each month, all applications received on the second Tuesday are placed in a random lottery selection for placement on a waiting list.
*****Also reminder to all who apply for the City of Dubuque Housing that if on the 2nd Tuesday of each month their name is not drawn in the lottery system, they must reapply for the waiting list each month until their name is drawn.

Assistance for Iowa Renters and Homeowners: Application deadline: Dec. 4, 2020 at 11:59 p.m.
Available Assistance:
Rental assistance for up to four months. This can include months in arrears no earlier than the April 1 rent payment, (lesser of 4 months actual rent or $3,200 maximum).Includes manufactured home rent and lot rent
Mortgage assistance for up to four months (this can include up to two months in arrears) beginning with April 1 mortgage payment, ($3,600 maximum).

The Iowa Residential Utility Disruption Prevention
Program provides eligible households with up to $2,000 towards electric, natural gas and water bills if they are at risk of disconnection due to an inability to pay due to a COVID-19 related loss of income. Payments through the program will be made directly to utility providers and applied to the applicant’s account. View Iowa Residential Utility Disruption Prevention Program FAQs here.
The application deadline has been extended to Dec. 4 at 11:59 p.m.
Available Assistance:
Electric, natural gas and water utility assistance for unpaid debt on service provided between March 17, 2020 and date of the application.
